This simple horn has a scraped, lightly aged finish.  The word "SALT" is engraved on one side , with a depiction of a buffalo on the opposite.

At 6" in length and 8" around , this horn will hold a large salt ration.

  This small horn is 8" along the bottom curve.  2" across the base plug.  1 1/2" throat carved with two rings.  Base plug is pinned in place with thorns.  Iron staple.  Aged finish.  Nice horn for a smaller caliber rifle, or as a day horn for a larger caliber.
